Only 28 days left until The Last Pixel Show's iPhone/iPad Creativity Workshop at The Palouse in Washington State. Teri Lou Dantzler and Harry Sandler are holding a 4 day iPhone/iPad workshop in Colfax, Washington that covers all aspects of iPhone photography and so much more. The last day is spent printing images made during the workshop and each participant leaves with minimum one print.

There are currently 10 people attending with rather diverse backgrounds from all parts of the country. It is also harvest time in The Palouse - add all this together and you have a unique four day learning experience.

The Last Pixel will cover resolution, camera apps, cross processing on laptop or desktop, transfer of images, creativity, printing various applications and much more.

As most of you know I am non-traditional when it comes to processing my images solely on the iPhone or iPad. There are so many ways to get to the end result why limit yourseslf.

Lately I have been using several iPhone/iPad application on my Mac - both desktop and laptop. The ones used the most are Photo Studio, Sketchmee, Grungetastic and Artista Haiku. Being of the older generation this also helps keep my eyes from getting tired and losing concentration.

In addition to the application mentioned above there is also Color EFX4, Silver FX Pro2 and whatever other third party software you currently are using. Add this to some elegant sharpening techniques and you wil find your creativity expanding. Not to mention when printing I find it best to sharpen and make various local  adjustments on the big screen.

Desert Composite, Adobe PS TOuch

Had a few minutes this morning and played around with Adobe PS Touch for the iPad this morning, and, albeit low resolution (c'mon Adobe) it has some fabulous features. This image is three separate images selected and combined easily and quickly in Touch....Stay tuned for a few tutorials once my weekend workshop is over.

The Last-Pixel Show Workshops

Teri Lou Dantzler has collaborated with Harry Sandler to create what we believe are the first 'Destination iPhone Workshops'. To that end we have just launched The Last-Pixel Show Workshop Webpage: http://www.thelastpixelshow.org/napa_california/#more-7. These workshops, unless otherwise noted, are for all skill levels - as there are two instructors available one-on-one time is not an issue.

The workshops will cover iPhone/iPad and the new applications for desktop and laptop Mac computers. There are daily trips to photograph along with classroom time. The classroom time will cover Set-up, transfer and folder structure, applications and printing. Each participant will leave with one print on fine art paper printed on the Epson 3800.

So nice to see this many iPhone images printed and hanging in one place - The Renaissance Fine Art and Design Gallery in Carmel, Indiana. Kathleen Stevens, who owns and runs the gallery, was an early advocate of iPhone Imagery and has sponsored and participated in three workshops on iPhone/iPad creativity.
