Working on several iPhone impressions of Death Valley and other locations...these iPhone images work well as color-scape impressions when printed small on the right substrate....my intent would be to hae several of these impressions in my upcoming show at the Renaissance Fine Art and Design Gallery in Carmel, Indiana. .

This image was photographed using the iPhone4 at the Old Head Golf Course - just outside of Kinsale,. Ireland....I thought about taking out the telephone wires but at the last minute decided they helped define the composition...liked the line they created across the image...

Local image management was done in Lightroom3......I wil be covering this type of image management in my upcoming workshop in Carmel, Indiana....click here for more information.

Death Valley

In one of the workshops I attended over the past few years the leader had mentioned making sketches of ideas either on pieces of paper or in some sort of day book. What I realized this morning (and I may have already been aware) is that the iPhone is particularly suited for this - a virtual visual diary of ideas. For me, I get to work out ways to post process with the bonus of getting to think about new ideas for making the actual photograph in the field....whether it be big boy camera or iPhone.

Gallery Show and Workshop

OK, today is promotion day on the blog........Music, iPhone and other neighborhods is the first time time many of these images have been printed. There are straight prints and scanned film processed in the iPad 2 using various applications. I will also be showing some of my personal black and white images for the first time.....Should be a fun weekend - come on down...

All I can remember about this image was trying to keep my balance as the drop was maybe 150 feet and I was set-up very close to the edge....The coastline of Ireland is a great photo opp at every turn....I guess I could say that about all of Ireland.....
